Okay so it has been so long since I updated. In fact, I haven't written since I arrived here. So...this should be a long one. I had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday. My husband made me breakfast while I was in the shower which is quite amazing. For those of you who know Jimmy know that he does NOT cook. He made a bacon and egg sandwich. It was sweet. (Mother's Day)
Saturday we went shopping for my Mother's Day gift. I am sure not many other moms out there had my crazy request for their special day. I wanted a GPS and that is what I got. It is so cool. It will come in handy this summer while we are on our summer assignment. Speaking of that...we are going to Houston NW. We are very excited. We even get to have the kids with us for the summer so that makes it even better. God is so good and ALWAYS knows what is best. (Grace and her good friend)
We have 29 days left until we get out of here for a bit. The end of the quarter is CRAZY busy. This week is especially tough as we have back to back assignments and tests. Tomorrow we are taking a trip to the funeral home for our Pastoral Care class. Gracie is doing well. Getting big so fast. She is 3 going on 16 I think. She has become such the DIVA here and loves all her friends (adult ones too) here on campus. Since we moved here she has fallen in love with High School Musical 2. She knows all the songs AND the dances from the movie. It is too funny. I took Gracie for her 3 year check-up and the doctor was feeling her tummy and squeezing a bit to make sure everything was right where it is supposed to be. Well Ms. Priss tells the doctor, "Don't squish my baby!" The look on the Dr's face was priceless. I explained that there are lots of women on campus that are pregnant and she is a bit confused. She just smiled. It was great. (Don't drink the water or breathe the air here...Indrani did and now she has joined the ranks of the Preggos, which makes six in our session)
Well I think that is enough of an update for now. I am going to go work on my sermon that is due on Friday. Blessings! |
