Memorial Weekend

We took a trip up to the Chattahoochee River on Saturday.  It was our family's first rafting adventure.  It was so much fun and we plan on doing it again.  Gracie did not want to get into the water because she thought it was too dirty.  The water was also very cold.

When we all got home we played some cards for a bit.  Actually a long bit.  We playing until about 1:15, so it was a very long day but lots of fun.

So, commissioning is only two weeks away.  AHHHHHHHH!!!  The time has really flown by.  The next two weeks are going to be really busy but I am sure they will fly by as well.

I am off to clean a bit so we can get ready for that final inspection.

Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day.

Miss Me?

Okay so it has been so long since I updated.  In fact, I haven't written since I arrived here.  So...this should be a long one.

I had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday.  My husband made me breakfast while I was in the shower which is quite amazing.  For those of you who know Jimmy know that he does NOT cook.  He made a bacon and egg sandwich.  It was sweet.

Saturday we went shopping for my Mother's Day gift.  I am sure not many other moms out there had my crazy request for their special day.  I wanted a GPS and that is what I got.  It is so cool.  It will come in handy this summer while we are on our summer assignment.

Speaking of that...we are going to Houston NW.  We are very excited.  We even get to have the kids with us for the summer so that makes it even better.  God is so good and ALWAYS knows what is best.

We have 29 days left until we get out of here for a bit.  The end of the quarter is CRAZY busy.  This week is especially tough as we have back to back assignments and tests.  Tomorrow we are taking a trip to the funeral home for our Pastoral Care class.

Gracie is doing well.  Getting big so fast.  She is 3 going on 16 I think.  She has become such the DIVA here and loves all her friends (adult ones too) here on campus.  Since we moved here she has fallen in love with High School Musical 2.  She knows all the songs AND the dances from the movie.  It is too funny.

I took Gracie for her 3 year check-up and the doctor was feeling her tummy and squeezing a bit to make sure everything was right where it is supposed to be.  Well Ms. Priss tells the doctor, "Don't squish my baby!"  The look on the Dr's face was priceless.  I explained that there are lots of women on campus that are pregnant and she is a bit confused.  She just smiled.  It was great.

Well I think that is enough of an update for now.  I am going to go work on my sermon that is due on Friday.

Blessings!

On Our WAY

We loaded up all our junk yesterday into our super long moving truck and headed out today for A-TOWN.  Man we have a lot of stuff.  A LOT!  We had two garage sales, gave a ton away, put some in storage and still have a truck full.  It is hard for me to let go of my stuff.

We drove a long way today and made it to Meridian and will finish our journey to A tomorrow.  I am so excited but nervous.  Ah...the first day of school.

G did really good in the car today.  She was up super late last night and woke up early.  She was busy trying to dance last night instead of going to bed.  My sister and nephews were cracking up and she LOVE to entertain.

Well I am off to try to get her to wind DOWN.  Goodnight.

Memories

As a comment on my page, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!  Next, re-post this on your site and see how many people leave a memory about you.   If you read this, consider yourself tagged, lol.  Repost as "memories".
